Not Your typical Training day...

Hey All,
Today is a day I am very very happy to write about. It was an interesting day that took a lot of turns to say the least.

Upon arriving at the tennis stadium, here in my final tournment of the year in Knoxville, Tennesee, we were told that all the courts were booked up for qualifying matches until about 6pm.

So we (My cousin Stephen, Lester Cook, and our coach, Craig) decided to go over to the student Rec center to have a nice gym session. When we arrived there, we saw giant signs for a "DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT." All of a sudden we all had visions of Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn from the movie "DODGEBALL." Never have four tennis players been so fired up for a sporting event other than tennis.

When we got out onto the field of battle, it may as well have been wimbledon for us!!! We were so fired up from the start and ended up having black and blue marks all over ourselves at the end of the 3 hour battle! But Ladies and Gentlemen, it was totally worth it!!

We had so much fun, and ended up coming in second place. While that is a good result for four guys who probably havent played dodgeball in about 15 years, we were very upset not the take the first place medals (which i'm pretty confident we would have worn proudly for the rest of the week!!)

Luckily we had enough energy to finish the day with a solid gym session and enough of a practice to get used to the speed of the courts, which are very very slow.

To end the day, we saw no better way than to take in the good local eating. So we dived into a full slab of ribs and called it a night.

Great... Great... Day!!!

Good night All,
Am about to get some well deserved sleep!
